Core Policy

CharNor will guarantee a 100% core credit for most Electric and I.C. Drive Components. Your Sales Representative will quote each component and verify core deduction limits per component. For Drive Components quoted as 100% core credit you will receive full core credit when you return a complete, assembled component that matches your purchase model and returned in a timely manner. For the Drive Components that are subject to up to 50% every effort will be made to keep core deductions as low as possible. CharNor has a full service onsite machine shop to repair many damaged components at no additional costs. We also have a large inventory of quality used parts to keep your cost low. Dealer will be notified within 30 days of any deductions from date of receipt of the core into our plant.

Deductions in credit up to 50% will occur for the following reasons:

  • Core disassembled.
  • Visible holes or cracks.
  • Fire damage.
  • Unserviceable components.

Deductions in credit beyond 50% will occur for the following reasons:

  • Missing parts.
  • Core is not of the same configuration as the item sold.
  • Cores returned after 60 days will receive a 10% per month deduction.

Warranty Policy

CharNor warrants all drive components to be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of one(1) year subject to certain conditions. Oil leaks are covered for 90 days. The final determination as to the root cause of any failure is CharNor's

The warranty is subject to the following conditions:

  •  A certified technician must install the unit.
  • Drive components must be maintained to OEM service manual standards.
  • For any warranty claims made after 30 days from installation, service records must be available and include installation and maintenance data.
  •  If CharNor is asked to participate in a labor reimbursement warranty claim, we reserve the right to bring the drive unit to our facility for inspection.
  •  An oil sample analysis may be performed in determining the cause of failure.
  • CharNor is not responsible for failures resulting from improper installation, operator abuse, or lack of proper maintenance.

The warranty is limited as follows:

  • The warranty is limited to the replacement of defective parts.
  • Labor costs are covered up to $400 maximum charge out rate is $48.50 per hour.
  • Total warranty cost cannot exceed the original price of the product.
  • Travel, equipment rental and service fees are not covered.
  • Disassembly of the drive components without approval from CharNor will void the warranty.
